Are your products safe for my baby's sensitive skin?

Yes! Our products are crafted specifically for those with highly sensitive skin. Eco Pea Co. bamboo diapers, wipes and bath line are hypoallergenic and dermatologist approved. They are made by only adding what is needed to achieve high quality and great performance. The bamboo diapers are made responsibly using sustainably harvested bamboo. You can rest easy knowing your child is less likely to have a reaction, compared to conventional diapers.

We're proud to say our diapers and wipes are made without:

Chlorine
Phthalates
Dioxin
Alcohol
Latex
Fragrances

Are your products hypoallergenic?

Yes! All of our bamboo diapers, bamboo wipes and bath products are hypoallergenic.

Have your products been dermatologist tested?

Yes! All of our bamboo diapers, wipes and bath products are dermatologist approved. Our bath line has also been ophthalmologist tested - no tears here.

Are your products fragrance-free?

We do not add any fragrance to our diapers and wipes. In addition, they're odor resistant. Our products do have a subtle, natural scent due to the aloe ingredient.

Why are your products made from bamboo?

The benefits of bamboo products are endless - for our children, and for the environment.  We chose bamboo for its soft feel, its biodegradability, and its sustainability. Many of our customers and our team personally noticed less rashes and irritation when switching from diapers made with other materials. In addition, an Eco Pea Co. diaper will be more than half degraded in just 2-3 months.  Regular diapers take 500 YEARS to decompose! Bamboo is helping us take a huge step in the right direction.

What are the benefits of switching to bamboo diapers?

Maybe this is your first baby, or maybe you're already deep into your diaper journey.  It's not too late to switch - your impact on the Earth and your baby’s skin is immediate. Switching to bamboo diapers means you can give your baby premium quality with less environmental impact. Bamboo is very sustainable as it's easy to grow and requires minimal resources.

Will bamboo diapers and bamboo wipes work just as well as other disposable products?

We often hear people have been disappointed by eco-friendly kids brands in the past. We take that to heart - believe us, we’ve seen our fair share of blowouts and don’t want that for your family! We want to change the perception of eco-friendly diapers by providing environmentally-friendly diapers and wipes that work.

Based on customer feedback, we've also included these useful features:

Wetness indicator
Size label (useful for multi-kid families)
No added fragrance and odor resistant
Incredibly soft medical grade material
Nourishing aloe
Super absorbent core
Snug fit that conforms to movement
Tape that stays and doesn't Tear
Thick wipes with Textured Grip

Why are the wipes now called unbleached and what exactly does that mean?

Many conventional wipes, especially ones that utilize natural plant fiber, require a bleaching step to take the plant fiber used to make the wipes white. We are choosing to skip the bleaching step and utilize the plant fiber in its natural yellow/brown color.

Why are the wipes beige and not white like what I’m used to?

In order to reduce processing and adding unneeded chemicals or processes, Eco Pea Co. has chosen to utilize unbleached bamboo fiber for our wipes. Many conventional wipes, especially ones that utilize natural plant fiber, require a bleaching step to take the plant fiber used to make the wipes white. By skipping this step we are preventing the addition of any bleaching agents. This does not affect the performance of the product and they are just as soft as before.

Can I use Eco Pea Co baby wipes on other parts of my baby’s body? How about on my body?

Absolutely! Eco Pea Co. wipes can be used to clean up messes on any part of the body. Our wipes have a liquid formula that is over 99% water with added cleansers and ingredients which are known to moisturize skin. Just remember not to flush them as they are not septic system safe.

Have your products been tested or certified?

Yes! We feel 3rd party testing and certifications are important in order to achieve transparency and accountability.

What testing do you do on your products?

All of our products go through rigorous testing before we launch them. First we start with theoretical testing. We review all of our selected materials and ingredients to ensure they are providing a true benefit, are non-irritating to the skin, and have no unwanted byproducts. Once theoretical evaluation is complete, we run full product stability on the products. This ensures that everything that is in the product will remain stable for the intended lifecycle of the product.

To confirm our products are non-irritating to the skin, we contract a third party clinical testing facility.

Depending on the product, other testing is conducted, this could include efficacy testing, naturalness testing, biodegradability testing and more. All testing we do is done at accredited third party labs.

Are your products tested on animals?

NO! We do not test on animals and we ensure all the ingredients we are adding haven’t been tested on animals. We have even gone to the step of certifying our non-diaper products with Leaping Bunny, a third party certifier that keeps up accountable to this commitment.

Why aren’t the diapers certified by Leaping Bunny? Leaping Bunny only certifies personal care, and home care products. As diapers do not fall into those categories, they do not certify them. Rest Assured, we hold our diapers to the same standard, they just aren’t certified.

Have your products been dermatologist tested?

Yes! Our products are designed for sensitive skin and have been dermatologist tested and approved. In addition, our bath line has also been tested by an ophthalmologist to ensure it's easy on the eyes.

What is Leaping Bunny?

Since 1996, the Leaping Bunny Program, operated by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics in the US and Canada, has been connecting compassionate consumers to cruelty-free companies under its Corporate Standard of Compassion for Animals. Companies must pledge to end animal testing at all stages of product development in addition to recommitting to the program annually and being open to third party audits.

What is EWG verified? Why do you find it important?

EWG is the Environmental Working Group. EWG is a non-profit committed to clean and transparent products. With the EWG VERIFIED™ mark on a product, you can be sure it's free from EWG's chemicals of concern and meets our strictest standards for your health.

What is USDA Biopreferred and what does the % on the logo mean?

The USDA Certified Biobased Product label, displayed on a product certified by USDA, is designed to provide useful information to consumers about the biobased content of the product. We are choosing to use this certification to communicate the amount of ingredients that are sourced from a plant based (renewable) resource.

The % on the packaging shows the amount of plant based or renewable carbon is in the product rather than synthetic, petroleum based or non-renewable. We aim to maximize the amount of renewable resources used, but we can’t always use plant based ingredients if health or performance is potentially compromised. For example, there are some components such as preservatives, which are not available in renewable form, but have to be added to the product for the health and safety of the users

What is 1% for the Planet?

1% for the Planet is a global movement inspiring businesses and individuals to support environmental solutions through annual memberships and everyday actions. They advise on giving strategies, they certify donations and they amplify the impact of our network.
